Ridglea giving garden

The Ridglea Giving Garden is located on the northwest corner of the church's property, next to the Glass House. The parking lot can be accessed via Hemsell Place behind the church. The garden was originally built by the Tarrant Area Food Bank as a learning garden to provide a place where community members can learn about effective gardening techniques while they help tend the garden and grow nutritious fruits and vegetables that are distributed to those in need. After transitioning to the Giving Garden in 2024, the focus shifted to food production to help address hunger in our community by providing fresh fruits and vegetables to local organizations.


Each week, volunteers help plant and harvest fruits and vegetables, pull weeds, turn compost, and take care of other tasks to keep the garden going. To volunteer for a garden workday, click here to sign up through the TAFB Volunteer Page.

Jubilee Community Garden

Our Jubilee Garden is open to anyone who is interested in tending to a plot. There is more information below if you are wondering why you should rent a plot, or specifics about price and commitments. Our hope is that anyone who is interested in gardening can use this as a safe space to learn how to tend to the earth and nurture God's creation in community with others.

Why Adopt a Plot in the Jubilee Garden?

How to Get Started

  • Adopt a 4'x8' garden plot for $30 per year. Each plot is prepared with great soil & irrigation.
  • Choose your plants & start with your own garden. We have a guide to help you know the best things to plant, as well as the right time to plant them. 
  • Tend your plot each week by pulling weeks and collect your fresh produce as it is ripe.
  • We always encourage you to share any extras with your neighbors, friends, and the Tarrant Area Food Bank. We take collections for TAFB each week. 
  • If you would like to connect with others, gardeners gather for a work day on Wednesday mornings.
