At Ridglea Christian Church, we do our best to include youth and children in the full life of the church.
Our kids are not the future of the church...they are an important part of the church today!

Nursery

Children 5 and younger are welcome to learn and play in our nursery, which is open from 10:15 am - 12:15 pm. Our professional, caring nursery attendants are first aid and CPR certified, and follow childcare best practices for safety and hygiene to ensure our youngest kids have a positive experience. 

Children's PRAYground

A space in the front corner of the sanctuary with books, art supplies, and other creative outlets just for kids during our worship service.

Worship & Wonder

A special program for our elementary-age kids that provides an age-appropriate experience of what's happening in the worship service. Kids are invited to join the program leader and assistant after the Children's Sermon to gather in the Worship & Wonder room to share what's happening in their lives, engage with a Bible story, share a snack that mimics communion, and take some time for holy play. Kids return to the sanctuary during the final hymn of the worship service.

Youth Groups

Our kids in 3rd-6th grade and youth in 7th-12th grade gather with church staff and youth group sponsors for lessons, discussion, service projects, games, and more! Currently youth groups meet most Sundays from 4:00-5:30 pm.

Camps & Retreats

Our children and youth have the opportunity to attend camps and weekend retreats throughout the year at Disciples Crossing Camp, our denomination's camp and conference center in Athens, Texas.  At camp our kids experience God through rest, renewal, fellowship, prayer, worship, and recreation in a beautiful outdoor setting. There are even special camps for families and grandparents/grandkids so that adults can gather on holy ground, too! Through the Pointer Scholarship our church pays half the registration fee for our campers, and additional assistance is always available upon request.
