Worship and Music

Church Choir

Our church choir rehearses on Sunday mornings at 10:15 am, and gathers on a Saturday about once a quarter to prepare anthems for the coming months. On Sunday mornings the choir leads the congregational hymns and typically performs an anthem. We accept all levels of singers, and provide regular opportunities for those interested in singing a solo. If you’re interested in joining the choir or would like more information, contact Alex Carr, Choir Director, at alex@ridgleachristian.org.

Special Worship Services

We celebrate many special worship services throughout the year. Here are some of the highlights:

Christmas Eve

We gather at 5:00 pm for a service of carols, communion, and candlelight to celebrate the birth of Christ.

Ash Wednesday

A Wednesday evening service in our foyer that ushers in the season of Lent.

Maundy Thursday/Good Friday

During Holy Week we alternate from year-to-year between two services:

- A multisensory Maundy Thursday service in our Fellowship Hall observing the events in the Upper Room and Garden of Gethsemane.

- A Good Friday service in our sanctuary that grows darker as scripture and songs commemorate the events surrounding Jesus' crucifixion.

Easter Sunday

We celebrate Christ's resurrection with special music and a beautiful flowered cross.

Pentecost Sunday

Worshippers are invited to wear red as we celebrate the birth of the church and the beautiful diversity of God's global family.

Backpack Blessing

We take time in worship to bless the backpacks and bags of all our students and educators at the start of the school year.

Blessing of the Animals

A special outdoor service for people and pets led by our youth on a Sunday afternoon in October.

All Saints Sunday

A service on the first Sunday in November to remember the saints who have gone before us, especially those who have died in the last year.
