Congratulations to our Youth Minister, Bill Jeffreys, upon his graduation from Brite Divinity School with his Master of Divinity degree. The hooding ceremony will be Saturday May 11 at 10:00 a.m. in the University Christian Church sanctuary. Congratulations also to our Children's and Community Minister, Yizong Xie, upon passing his Ordination Council. He hopes to be ordained here at RCC sometime in early August. This Sunday we celebrate the birthday of the Church as we observe Pentecost Sunday. There will be special music as well as spirited worship. We are all asked to wear red in honor of the gift of the Holy Spirit. We will also be sharing with parents as we dedicate and bless our new babies. Because it is also Mother's Day, we will honor our Mothers through prayer and special music. Don't forget to set aside a gift for the Pentecost Special offering and place it in the plate on Sunday. As God continues to move in mysterious ways, let us gather to worship and celebrate Pentecost.
