We are a serving church.
In Christ's command to love our neighbors, visit the sick, and welcome the stranger, we seek to find needs and meet them. The Evangelism Department cultivates an evangelistic spirit within the church and plans and administers the church growth program.
The General Board of the Christian Church in 1994 developed "Mission Imperatives." These imperatives state that, "We believe God’s mission for the church is to be and to share the Good News of Jesus Christ, witnessing and serving from our doorsteps ‘to the ends of the earth’…As the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), led and empowered by the Holy Spirit, we believe God calls us to strengthen congregational life for this mission. The congregation of Ridglea Christian Church is indeed a mission station. Members of the Evangelism Department solicit your participation in spreading the Good News of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ! There is need; there is opportunity to serve.
